What do you do when you are faced with an impossible situation? Maybe it is hard-a thing you absolutely do not want to do- or maybe it is unjust in some way. I've had my share of situations like this and I find there are three things I must do in order to face the future and overcome. I have to;

Decide
If I am going to get mad, stay mad, and get even, or
If I am going to acknowledge God as Lord of my life, the one in charge of my life-even though I do not understand.
If I choose to get angry and get even, I will stay in this situation or one like it until I change my attitude or die. The choice is mine alone to make.
If I choose to acknowledge God as Lord, I must give Him freedom to do with me as His pleases, and praise Him for doing so. I must freely yield myself and any outcome to the situation I find myself to his control. There must not be any hold-out on my part. Doing this takes a great deal of prayer and faith.

Repent
I'm taking some liberty here but I have yet to face a difficult situation where I did not need to spend some effort repenting of my past indifference, or self centeredness, or just plain laziness.

Always God has tried to warn me, to lead me in a different direction, or to get my attention in some way in the days and weeks leading up to the onset of the situation I am in. I am not saying it is my fault that I am here, though it may well be, what I am saying is God was not taken by surprise, he knew it was coming, he knew what I would need to do in order to avoid it altogether, or to be prepared to go through it in victorious confidence. If I was not ready, then it is because I was not listening to him well enough. For this, I repent.

I need to ask God to check my heart and my life and identify any area of sin or disobedience. Many times I have allowed sin to stay in my life, usually because I like it, and that leads to a gap in the spiritual wall around myself and my family. For this, I repent

Forgive
If there is any unforgiveness in my heart, I must repent and forgive. This is a sin, it is not an option, if I want God to move in my life, to deliver me from the hand of the enemy, I must forgive as Christ forgave me.

Psalms 139:23-24 ( NIV ) Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

.Wake up and take action.
  • .I have to get our heart and life right by repenting of sin, disobedience, and indifference
  • I have to take back my life by standing up to the devil in the authority I have in Jesus.
  • The enemy of our souls-the devil- will take every opportunity to bring destruction to us and to our family. He will pillage our lives until we stop him in the name of Jesus.
  • I have to give God complete access and control of my life.
  • I have to praise him for hearing and answering my prayer.

One of the most astounding things about being a child of the King is the promise he has made that, when we pray, he will hear us and will answer.

Psalms 91:15-16 ( NIV )
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Tell me how you faced a difficult or impossible situation and how God delivered you.

Until Next time;
Blessings-
Kay
