Our decisions affect our children--choose life
Deuteronomy 30: 19-20 (NIV)
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
God promises household salvation
Acts 16:29-34 ( NIV ) The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved --you and your household." Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family.
Promise to restore and change our children
Isaiah 29:22-24 ( NIV)
Therefore this is what the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says to the house of Jacob:
"No longer will Jacob be ashamed; no longer will their faces grow pale.
When they see among them their children, the work of my hands,
they will keep my name holy; they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob,
and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding;
those who complain will accept instruction."
God promises children to the barren
Exodus 23:25-26
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
Isaiah 54:1 ( NIV ) "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,"
says the LORD.
Isaiah 54:3 ( NIV ) For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
The Lord, the Holy Spirit, is the guardian and teacher of our children
Isaiah 54:13 ( NIV ) All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace.(peace means wholeness-nothing broken, nothing missing)
Call them blessed

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands.
His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
